WELCOME TO TMEPA!   

TMEPA is a membership association of 59 of the 61 Municipal Electric Power Providers serving over 70% of the electric consumers in the State of Tennessee.  Our Primary objective is to represent the members in the state legislative arena although we do participate in national issues in conjunction with APPA and TVPPA.  As a service oriented organization, we also provide a number of other services to the members and exist for their benefit.  Membership in TMEPA brings a host of benefits to its members and the financial savings have certainly exceeded the nominal annual fee each system pays.  A "Value of Membership" document gives more information and can be viewed or downloaded by clicking here. 

You'll notice in the left margin a new category of Membership - Associate Members.  The Corporate Sponsor Program ended January 1, 2008 and replaced with this new membership program.  We encourage you to click on this link to view the organizations who strongly support TMEPA and its activities.  The highest level of support is Partner (Level 4). As of March 1, 55 organizations have joined as Associate Members.  We are grateful to each of them and encourage you to give them the opportunity to serve your system needs. The General Assembly reconvened on January 8.  About 2,000 bills carried over from last Session and we expect that number again to be introduced during the current Session.  Members may access the Legislative Reports through the Members Only page.    The Members Only page also has the minutes of our previous meetings, including Board Meetings, the Approved Board Policies, and 2007 (First Session) and 2008 (Second Session) Legislative Reports. 

Our 42nd Annual Meeting of the Members is July 9-11, 2008 at the Embassy Suites Hotel at Cool Springs, Franklin, TN.  The Annual Golf Tournament sponsored by HD Supply will be at the prestigious Vanderbilt Golf Club on July 9th. you may click HERE for a Golf Registration form.  Our Welcoming Reception, and you don't want to ever miss one of our Welcoming Receptions, is being planned with a little "twist" to a typical meeting.  Our Annual Meeting Information page is now available and you may access it by clicking on the Annual Meeting words in the left margin.  The meeting will start on Thursday, July 10.  Our annual Past President's Lunch will be that same day with our Annual Banquet that evening, all at the Embassy Suites.  We have arranged for a very special and entertaining speaker for the Banquet the whole family will enjoy.  We'll keep you posted but make your plans now to attend!
