TMEPA’s Annual Meeting of the Members is the Association’s premier annual event.  Attendees include General Managers/CEOs and key employees of Tennessee municipal electric systems, City Government officials and Board members of the individual electric companies.  Also present are many of the valued friends of TMEPA – our Associate Members, Meeting Sponsors and other vendors of products and services so crucial to our success.  Over 300 individuals active in the public power industry attend this event held each year in July.  A block of rooms has been reserved at the Embassy Suites Hotel at Cool Springs.  The TMEPA block rate is $139.00 plus taxes for a single and $149.00 plus taxes for a double.  Please make you reservations as soon as possible.  Mention TMEPA when making your reservations.  The cut-off date for reservations at this rate is June 18, 2008:

In addition to the normal business meeting, this year’s conference will feature topics critical to municipal electric systems.  Legislative updates (both state and national), Emergency Weather by Lisa Spencer of WSMV Nashville, Recovering from Tornado damages and preparations,  TVA Hydro Update by Janet Herrin, SR VP of TVA River Operations, a special panel of system Managers discussing AMI/AMR technologies, What Can Fiber Optic Cable do for your Electric Operations and other outstanding topics and speakers.  The meeting is a great opportunity to learn, to meet and network.  

The event will also provide opportunities for attendees and guests to enjoy the people and culture of historic Franklin, TN.  We encourage you to take time to enjoy this fabulous city and the many attractions within easy driving distance. 

Online Registration is available to TMEPA System Members only this year.  All Associate Members and Non Members please call the TMEPA office at 615-373-5738 for registration info if you don't receive it by email.  We'll be happy to email you the appropriate forms.  Should you have any difficulty let us know. Once you're redirected to the secure registration page Members will have the option of registering and submitting their form to the office for an invoice to be mailed or pay by credit card.  Please note that a 5% charge is added to credit card payments.  TMEPA does not receive this fee. The Registration Desk at the Embassy Suites Hotel:
Registration material, badges and a registration gift can be picked up at the TMEPA registration desk at the hotel from 8 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on July 9 and again on July 10 from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.   
Your name badge received at Registration is your ticket to all meeting sessions and special events.

Cancellations

Registrants who cancel in writing on or before Friday, June 20, 2008, are entitled to a refund of their registration fee, minus a $50 cancellation fee. Registrants who cancel after Friday, June 20, 2008 will not receive a refund, but attendee substitutions will be allowed when our office is notified.  Cancellations must be made in writing and mailed, faxed, or emailed to: Susan Sherrill, Administrative Assistant.

TMEPA maintains the right to designate any meeting or session as open only to TMEPA Regular Members (municipal electric power companies). All travel arrangements, accommodations and associated costs are the responsibility of the participants.
