TMEPA is a membership association of all 60 Municipal Electric Power Providers of Tennessee serving over 2.1 million homes and businesses.  This figure includes over 70% of the electric consumers in the State of Tennessee.  Our Primary objective is to represent the members in the state legislative arena although we do participate in national issues in conjunction with APPA and TVPPA.  As a service oriented organization, we also provide a number of other services to the members and exist for their benefit.  Membership in TMEPA brings a host of benefits to its members and the financial savings have certainly exceeded the nominal annual fee each system pays.  The following are informational documents that may be of interest.  Just “click” on the title for more information.

The First Session of the 107th General Assembly last year saw a change in the "Move Over Tennessee" law which added utilities. 
We're very happy about this addition and urge you to take a look at the website containing all the information.  Just click on the logo to the right.

The 2012 Annual Meeting of the Members will be at the Carnegie Hotel and the adjoining Millennium Center in Johnson City, TN.  Many of you will recall our fabulous 2005 annual meeting where Bristol Essential Services (Dr. Browder) made arrangements for TMEPA to hold the Welcoming Reception at the Bristol Motor Speedway!  I still have pictures of that amazing evening.  We'll be returning to the Speedway in July for our 2012 Welcoming Reception and once again, TMEPA guests will be driving their personal cars on the track!  Refreshments will be in a VIP Suite looking over the speedway.  As usual there will be ample food and drink, an outstanding band, dancing and more.  Our Annual Golf Tournament will be at the outstanding Cattails at Meadowview in Kingsport, TN.  The Golf Tournament Invitation to participate is at this link.  Just print the form, complete and mail it with your tournament fee to Chuck Holbert.  You may view a "draft" agenda of the meeting by clicking on the link at the bottom of the left column.  We still have one speaker who hasn't confirmed.  Sponsor information has been sent to the Associate Members and can be downloaded at - Annual Meeting Sponsor Information .   TMEPA System Members ONLY may register for the meeting online by following this link the left margin.
